Alasdair Cameron’s relaxed, informal family garden | Notes from a Garden

Alasdair Cameron spends most of his time designing gardens for other people via his company Cameron Landscapes & Gardens, but his own rural plot in Devon exerts a strong pull. Over a decade, he has transformed it from farmyard and field into a charming family garden that feels rooted in its rural landscape. ‘The aim was for the garden to melt seamlessly into the landscape, using borrowed and framed views to enhance the atmosphere,’ he says. Here he and his wife Tor give us a tour of the gardens, from the new meadows to the productive kitchen gardens.
