BEATBoX SAX - “Dyakuyu“ (Thank you: Ukrainian) - by Derek Brown

-Filmed in Gary, Indiana in 2016 “Dyakuyu“ means “Thank You“ in Ukrainian. Two of my favorite tours of all time were in Ukraine and Russia, easily the most appreciative audiences I’ve ever played for. I even composed 2 tunes following these tours: “Pochemuchka“ (Russian: “a child who asks too many questions“) from my Russian trip and “Dyakuyu“ (Ukrainian: “Thank You“) from my time in Ukraine. It breaks my heart to see the destruction of these beautiful Ukrainian cities and people. I met so many wonderful people in both countries, and can only hope that Russians can bravely speak out against this horrific war. To my Russian friends: Be a pochemuchka and ask difficult questions of your friends, family, and government. I urge you to remember your peace-desiring Ukrainian brothers and sisters. And to my Ukrainian friends: Dyakuyu for your inspiring bravery and resilience. May peace and freedom prevail soon in your land. “Dyakuyu“ “Pochemuchka“ (All funding made from these two videos in 2022 will go directly to ) -Original tune and sax playing by Derek Brown (no overdubs) -Sheet music available at
