Pararescuemen (also known as PJs) are United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) operators tasked with recovery and medical treatment of personnel in humanitarian and combat environments.
The Pararescuemen of the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron are in the business of saving lives. They are ready 24/7 to drop whatever they’re doing, start up a helo and get to a comrade that needs help. Their goal, is to “make your bad day not your last day.”
