📺Deploy piSignage Pt. 1☝️Server-side Setup & Deploy piSignage Digital Signage ()
⚠️ Caution - It’s still early days around here and this video is shared very much in the spirit of learning and collaboration. Any & all comments that can help us evolve this into better, more formalized learning material for interactive media developers and artists would be really appreciated. That said …
In this early beta video tutorial (v ) we walk through the steps we took to deploy the piSignage open-source digital signage server on Ubuntu . It is the first in a series that will explore the features and functionality of publically available cloud-based out of home digital signage platforms. The end game here is to extend functionality by proposing and testing solutions that enable multi-screen interactive middleware for connected players running on public-facing Smart TVs across various business and civic verticals (i.e. medical waiting rooms, retail stores, public transportation areas, stadiums, bars, etc). Subsequent videos will include a reference guide to implement open-source middleware
