Dance Plus City | Šokis plius miestas | Lithuanian Composers’ Union House

ENG The pleasant calm of the spaces in the Composers’ Union House is filled by the expressive improvisation of the contemporary dance of dancers - choreographers Lukas Karvelis and Ieva Navickaitė. Composers’ Union House became the site of the first meeting for creative artists working in different European countries. Inspired by Finnish regionalism and international modernism, Composers’ Union House is noteworthy for its subtle architectural language. The building’s interior is shaped by vertical lines, natural surfaces and their texture, and elements thought out to the smallest detail; in other words, by that which can appear almost invisible. Built in 1966, the home of the Composers Union in the Žvėrynas residential neighbourhood was designed by architects Vytautas Edmundas Čekanauskas and Vytautas Brėdikis. Organised by: Vilnius City Municipality Partners: Lithuanian Dance Information Centre and Architektūros fondas Special for: LRT PLIUS Director: Jevgenij Tichonov Choreography and Dance: Ieva Navickai
