BlinkyBra - RGB LED Lingerie

BlinkyBra features 28 individually-controlled RGB LEDs in flexible, lightweight strips. They are arranged in a grid under white fur. A custom Arduino-based controller runs dozens of modes, including a 6-band audio spectrum display. The controller uses a 5-way navigational switch with custom-molded heart-shaped topper and an electret microphone. The wearer can control overall brightness, mode, characteristic within that mode (speed, color, etc.), set the bra to static colors, enter “headlight“ mode, or take the bra through a random assortment of functions. The bra’s code is written for a larger “virtual“ grid of pixels, making horizontal and vertical patterns simple despite the irregular layout of LEDs. Scrolling text is possible. Note: in audio spectrum mode, the lower-left bar is for the lowest frequencies; the lower-right is for the highest. The fast-fourier algorithm still needs some work to display all bands in a useful way. Contact Grant Patterson, grant@ for more information.
