Hello folks! Today I am restoring the Khevsur sword. Khevsureti is one of the mountainous regions in Georgia. This sword was made at the factory in Soviet times, it can be seen even by the dales on the blade that were made on the machine. Most likely the year of manufacture is the 1960s-70s. But the item has apparently been in a damp place for a long time. The strange winding of wires and insulating tape surprised, however. Well, let’s start the restoration.
The first duty is to dismantle the old aluminum handle. By the way, the shape is very good, but alignment and cleaning are required.
