#FriedModak, is also known as Talniche Modak which are sweet dumplings made during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in India. These sweets are made with a covering of all-purpose and/or whole wheat flour and stuffed with a delicious mixture of jaggery, and coconut. #recipe #ganeshchaturthi #ganeshchaturthispecial #borosil #festival #bappamorya #chefharpalsinghsokhi #youtube #namakshamak #easyrecipe #borosilhaitoheasyhai Ingredients Quantity For dough Whole wheat Flour ¾ cup Refined flour ¾ cup Cardamom powder as required Ghee 2 tbsp Water as required For Filling Ghee 2 tbsp Almonds 1 tbsp Cashew nuts 1 tbsp Beetroot (boiled and grated) 1 no Coconut (grated) 1 cup Jaggery 3/4 cup Cardamom powder a pinch Oil for deep frying. Method:- 1. In a bowl, sieve whole wheat flour and refined flour, add cardamom powder, ghee. Mix it well 2. Add sufficient water and knead into stiff dough cover it with wet muslin cloth and keep it aside. 3. Take a Borosil kadai add ghee, almonds, cashew nuts, grated beetroot sauté well. 4. Add grated coconut mix it well. 5. Then add jaggery and cook for a minute. Remove it in a bowl and add cardamom powder mix it well and set aside to cool. 6. Divide the dough into 11 equal sized balls. 7. Roll each ball into disc shape and put the cooked filling into it. 8. Pinch the corners together to form modak. 9. Heat sufficient oil in a deep kadai, add modak and fry them till crisp and golden brown. 10. Remove the modaks in an absorbent paper and serve hot!
