It pays tribute to the city of Annecy and its Festival by featuring characters from its universe throughout a “typical“ day of a festival-goer. Studio La Cachette is an animation company founded in 2014 in Paris by Oussama Bouacheria, Julien Chheng and Ulysse Malassagne. Combining an experienced and original know-how with a strong requirement for storytelling, it specializes in the service, production and co-production of short films, TV series and ambitious feature films. “This Hiding Place“ is a safe place of creation in which high quality work is produced, with the will of a close collaboration with its partners, in order to leave the best possible imprint in the films. Studio La Cachette was in charge of the short film Sucker of souls in the Love Death and Robots anthology produced by David Fincher and Tim Miller for Netflix in 2017, the two seasons of, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal, aired on Adult Swim and awarded an Emmy Award in 2021 in the category of “Outstanding Animated Program“, and part of the animation of the feature film Ernest & Celestine: Le Voyage en Charabie by Julien Chheng and Jean-Christophe Roger, released in theaters in late 2022. In 2023, no less than three projects will come out of the studio’s ovens with Genndy Tartakovsky’s new series, Unicorn: Eternals Warrior for HBO Max, the short film The Spy Dancer directed by Julien Chheng for the anthology Star Wars: Visions season 02 planned for Disney , and the studio’s first original series, Le Collège Noir, directed by Ulysse Malassagne for the French streaming platform ADN and France Télévisions.
