This is a video for “The Secotan People“, a Carolina-Algonquin Tribe, of the Powhatan Confederacy, who were located in Roanoke Island, Carolinas & Virginia, USA. Secotan villages included: the Secotan, Aquascogoc, Pomeiock (Pamlico), Dasamongueponke, and Roanoac Peoples. Other local Indigenous groups included: the Chowanoke (including village Moratuc), Weapemeoc, Chesapeake, Ponouike, Neusiok and Mangoak (Tuscarora) Peoples. All of these Indigenous Peoples resided around and along the banks of the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds.
