In mid July Israeli forces forcibly cleared the al Aqsa mosque of Muslim worshippers, with teargas and rubber bullets, to make way for Jewish pilgrims. This led the Christian Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophillus III to say that the use of Al-Aqsa Mosque “is an exclusive right“ for Muslims. MEMO 19 July 2021.
