First Look Ampere Based Training for Deep Learning on Windows and TensorFlow 2.4
The new Ampere line of GPUs offers considerable performance increases beyond just increases in RAM and cores. More efficient data representation, in the form of TF32 can sometimes lead to a 10X speed up, particularly on the latest versions of TensorFlow and PyTorch. In this video, I continue to explore my new NVIDIA A6000 GPU and compare results between the TITAN RTX and the A6000. Out of the box, with no code changes, there is a considerable speed increase.
