American Bandstand 1966 – Batman Promo - TOP 10 – She’s Just My Style, Gary Lewis & the Playboys

Airdate: January 15, 1966 Na na na na na na na na…BATMAN! The “Batman” premiered on ABC, as Dick said, last week, on January 12th and 13th. As this episode was probably taped around the first week of January, this is the first time any of these kids have ever seen it. The clips they showed today were mostly from the 2nd episode “Smack in the Middle” (the promo was pretty grainy so I added more updated clips of what was shown) I always thought Batman was ahead of its time with its tongue-in-cheek, wry humor. From the 60’s Adam West (RIP) to last week’s Robert Pattinson (March 2022), who is your favorite Batman? For me, Batman will always be Adam West, but Christian Bale is a close 2nd Gary Lewis and his Playboys’ red hot streak of hits continues with their Beach Boys sounding “She’s Just My Style” which peaks at #3 today on the Billboard Hot 100.
