In this video, we go over how to setup a basic deferred decal inside of Unreal Engine 5. Quixel Megascans assets and textures were used for this example and you can find the same decals in the Quixel Bridge or on their website. Decals can be a useful way to manually control a lot more of the detail in your scene and break up instanced models or tiling textures.
