Welcome to Analog Strings by Output, a beautifully expressive virtual string instrument for the modern music maker. Blend, mangle and mess up strings to perform uniquely crafted string sounds from big and small orchestras, soloists, weird instruments and every vintage synth & effect we could get our hands to artfully record an instrument where beauty meets madness. Explore sound sources and adjust layer volume, tune, and dial in the macro controls unique to each of 500 preset. Sound Sources // [2:05] Get inspired by 90 meticulously recorded sources with one-shots, pads, and tape loops broken down in three categories: 1. Orchestral Sources: We brought together a 60 piece & 22 piece string ensemble orchestra in the beautiful BMC Concert Hall in Budapest. Harmonic traditional violas and cellos to lush textures ready for manipulation with deeper production capabilities to choose between close or far microphone positioning (‘Close/Far’ Button). 2. Synths: We sampled the finest vintage analog synthesizers to redefine the power of classic synths to hybridize your sound. 3. Creative: We let our imaginations run wild. Bowed & plucked piano strings, tape echoes, processed guitars, time-stretching, granular synthesis… even playing a viola with the wrong side of the bow for new expressive techniques. Edit Page // [3:29] Quickly modify important features like amp and pitch ADSR, pan, stereo spread, pitch flutter, and both monophonic and legato modes. Advanced features available such as Left/Right toggle switch for all orchestral sources. Flip the layout of the orchestra to swap where the players sit in the room. Color’ option offers more flexibility with the timbre of the sound. Macro sliders are at tje upper right corner allowing full control no matter what page you’re on. FX Page // [4:09] Layer and Global FX tabs for deeper production power. ’Layer’ includes filter, eq, distortion - tube, drive and lofi, compression, delay, and reverb. ’Global’ has the same effects motion with phaser & chorus effect. Turn layers on/off as desired. Rhythm Page // [4:44] Quick and easy to add modulation per layer with 2 rhythm tabs on each for intricate patterns with the slider. Or choose the type of LFO waveform or step sequence pattern or pre-existing shapes to trigger interesting rhythms. Flux Mode is updated for maximum customizability with 20 rhythm presets. Open Flux editor to dial in interesting rhythms or manipulate sequences by selecting rate & # of repetitions. There’s up to 8 variations of rates to cycle through... slow it down or double it up. Arp Page // [5:50] 2 arpeggiators power each layer. Pedal allows you to choose the lowest to highest note to repeat every other note or dig into different patterns. Macro Mode // [6:25] Assign & remove parameters or change macro amounts for each. Click a macro name & choose a parameter.
