Gheychak by Tribecastan’s Jeff Greene

This stringed instrument is from Iran . It is derived from the Baluchi gheychak . in Iran it is played more like a kamanche and there is an instrument with a similar name, geychek which is more like a spike fiddle played by the uighyurs of Eastern Turkistan ( Xianjiang) where as in pakistan and afghanistan and even in the Punjab and northern india and nepal you can find similar instruments with different names such as ,geychek,qichak, ghaychak or even sometimes sarinda or incorrectly sarangi.
