Starmer quizzed about ’close political ally’ Lord Mandelson’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein
Keir Starmer was asked about reports that his close political ally, Lord Mandelson, may have had connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
A reporter asked Mr Starmer the question at an event which launched Labour’s general election campaign on Thursday 4 January.
The reporter referenced a 2023 report by JP Morgan which alleged that Lord Mandelson visited Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City home in 2009 whilst in Gordon Brown’s government.
Starmer stressed that he did not know any more than the reporter and said that he did not have much to add.
