Gennady Lukinykh: And There Was The Sea [Jazz-Romance]

Gennady Lukinykh (Perm, Russia, b. 1965) – composer, jazz pianist, arranger, member of the Russian Musical Union, winner of the «Golden diploma» VII Slavic music forum «Golden knight», the laureate of International and All-Russian competitions. G. Lukinykh a graduate of the Ural State Conservatory named after M. P. Mussorgsky (1991). To study composition and arrangement began in the period of study in Perm Musical College (1980-1984). He is the author of vocal works – romances, miniatures, ballads, songs, compositions and arrangements for choirs and vocal groups of various compositions, mainly a cappella. G. Lukinykh is the author of compositions for piano in various genres – from academic to jazz. G. Lukinykh performs solo piano jazz programs. As an accompanist and singer (baritone), he performs as part of a “Romantic Duet“ with his wife Victoria Lukinykh (soprano).
