1982 Playoffs game 4 Rangers at Flyers

The 1981-82 NY Rangers season was one of the few that saw them post a better road record than at home, and this would continue as the playoffs began. After splitting the first two games at MSG, the Rangers would win the best of five series with two straight wins at the Spectrum. This game saw the Flyers facing elimination, and they gave it a strong effort, outshooting the Rangers 43-25. But Pete Peeters had a bad game, and was pulled after two periods with the Rangers taking a 5-2 lead. The Flyers closed to within 6-5 in the third period, but an empty net goal clinched the game for the Rangers. Final score was 7-5. All in all a rather wild playoff game. Rangers broadcast. Nearly complete game shown here, it’s missing just the first five or six minutes of the first period due to audio problems. No goals missed, in fact the game had a rather slow start considering the Flyers were facing elimination. Interesting how the camera angle is at a much lower level to the ice compared to other rinks br
