LGBTQ Jewish Teen and Allly Shabbaton

In August 2012, Keshet and The Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center brought together a group of LGBTQ and ally teens for a weekend of learning, sharing, and support. It was the first shabbaton of its kind and for many of the teens, the first time they had been in an environment that celebrated all parts of their identity. In January 2013, we invited a larger group to participate in a follow-up retreat. The teens are really excited to plan an even bigger retreat for the future.
