LIVE: Astana hosts 70th anniversary Victory Day parade

EDITED:A military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 is due to be held in the Kazakh capital Astana on May 7. The parade, featuring 220 pieces of heavy equipment and weapons will consist of two parts – historic and contemporary. Around 3,500 soldiers will participate in the event including 200 female soldiers, representing not only the modern army but also the women who participated in the Second World War. Twitter:
