Members included Gerry Gibas (Lead Guitar, vocals), Marty Roth (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals), Sebastian Pelaia (Bass) and Eddie Thomas (Drums). Bent Wind released one single and one monster LP titled ’Sussex’ in 1969. The album was released in very limited quantities. It is now believed that less than 50 original copies still exist worldwide. It is considered by many to be one of the rarest and collectible albums in the world, with original pressings fetching thousands of dollars. Bent Wind’s music features outstanding fuzz guitar, haunting vocals and explosive drumming. Article on the legendary ‘Sussex’ LP: “The Holy Grail of Canadian rock, this raw, murky slab of heavy psych was released by local indie label Trend in autumn 1970 and immediately sank without a trace. Over the decades, however, obsessive fans and collectors of the era’s unsung greats gradually came to recognize the obscure Toronto band’s genius, the now impossible-to-find original LP eventually trading hands for $5000 plus in the rare vinyl market. After years of bootlegs, compact discs and pricey European pressings, this mythical Canadian LP is finally available at home in its intended format for the first time in 45 years.” * Note: All Bent Wind releases are available at Home page: Facebook: History of the band, told by Marty Roth Interview with Marty Roth (October 13, 2011)
