We’ve met Odean Pope in episodes 12 and 19, but here we feature his Saxophone Choir, fresh from a recent weeklong stint at the Blue Note in NYC. The Philly comprised band is killin’ as usual and this episode features a cameo by Amiri Baraka and a nice solo from Christian McBride’s father Lee Smith. Some of the finest jazz anywhere, Philly born and bred.
