Roachnuts | How to make Halloween Recipe | The Foodie

This Halloween, try a new and exciting recipe that will capture everyone’s imagination - Roachnuts. Delicious doughnuts covered with chocolate and toffy candy in a shape of a cockroach. Happy Halloween!!!! Ingredients required to make Roachnuts - 2 cups flour ½ cup butter 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda 1 cup milk For the custard 2 cups milk ½ cup sugar 2 tbsp custard powder slurry For the decoration 1 cups chocolate sauce ½ cup melted chocolate 6-8 toffee candy Method to make Roachnuts - Take the flour on your work surface, add butter & mix to a bread crumb consistency Next add the rest of the ingredients, milk & knead to a soft dough Rest the dough for 20 mins Next prepare the custard, bring the milk to a boil, add sugar & mix till dissolved Now add the custard slurry & cook till thick. Once thick remove & transfer to a piping bag after it cools down Next, roll out the dough & cut it into oval shapes Place on a baking tray & bake at 180°C for 20 mins Next, melt chocolate & pipe out the antenna & legs of the insect. Refrigerate out & keep it cold. Once the dough has baked, let it down & fill the bottom with the custard.
