Polish Synthpop: Marek Biliński - Ucieczka Do Tropiku (full cassette, 1987)

This here I bring you some more rare music - and this time it is 1987 cassette full of synthesizers. If you love synthwave and synth-pop - this is something you just must hear. While most tracks from this cassette has been released on other albums, at least one is unique, while several others are recorded in different arrangements. I’ll desribe every song in detail after the timecodes. Therefore, timecodes: 0:34 - Dom W Dolinie Mgiel 3:44 - Bulwary Nad Rzeka Wspomnien 9:20 - Stare Dobre Czasy 12:48 - Fontanna Radosci 20:21 - Ucieczka Z Tropiku 24:14 - Przyjaciel Wesolego Diabla 28:11 - Gorace Lato 32:00 - Porachunki Z Blizniakami 36:30 - Taniec W Zaczarowanym Gaju Detailed: Dom W Dolinie Mgiel - 0:34 Unique arrangement, as far as I know, but there were a lot of singles with this track in the 80’s, so maybe one of them matches. Still, so far, I haven’t heard this variant anywhere but on this cassette. Bulwary Nad Rzeka Wspomnien - 3:44 Same version as on Wolne Loty, 1986. Stare Dobre Czasy - 9:20 Once again, same version as on Wolne Loty, 1986. Fontanna Radosci - 12:48 Same version as on Ogrod Krola Switu, 1983. A part of this track is damaged on my cassette, so I’ve replaced about 10 seconds of it. It is not a perfect repair, but since this track is present in the other places, I haven’t pushed myself too much on this one. Still better than gaps of silence, I suppose. Ucieczka Z Tropiku - 20:21 Pretty much the same version that was released on the E≠mc². They differ very, very slightly. Like, on this cassette the ending is fading out, while on the E≠mc² it doesn’t. Not sure about the 1983 single version, but I assume it is just the same that was included on E≠mc², since it was a bonus track there. Przyjaciel Wesolego Diabla - 24:14 Discogs assures me that it is actually a unique track, not released elsewhere! Gorace Lato - 28:11 Same version as on Wolne Loty, 1986. Porachunki Z Blizniakami - 32:00 Another unique arrangement, perhaps? Definitely not the same version as on E≠mc², but I can’t say anything about the single. Taniec W Zaczarowanym Gaju - 36:30 Once again, I cannot say anything about the single version of the track, but the arrangement on the cassette is slightly different from the one seen... err... heard on Ogrod Krola Switu, 1983. The sound in the video is original, as played by my National Panasonic RX-5700 unit. I did not compress it and I did not clean it - only removed several slips here and there. Overall, I’ve liked working with tape more than with vinyl stuff I usually work with... Even though the noise level is kinda high, the overall sound is very... warm. Liked it, liked it a lot. Shame I do not have much music on cassettes, so I don’t even know when this ghettoblaster will get some screentime again. Oh, almost forgot.
