Mildred in Oblivion - Waves of Bitterness

Order here: this is ant-zen dig074 “a creepy, but atmospheric, hardcore journey into the deepest solitude of the endless space, through the narrow path of the failed and hurt self-awareness. a journey across the bleeding universe, into the darkness of the final dissolution, where the endless lines of dreams meet each other, under the blinded, silver stars...“ - zsolt t. szajbely ’mildred in oblivion’ is a dark ambient project bringing morbid atmospheres and layered organic soundscapes. dark and evil sounding but comforting and relaxing at the same time. known for his other projects ’mildreda’ and ’your life on hold’, mastermind jan dewulf explains why he had the urge to start this dark ambient journey: “i’ve always loved ambient music in general, both the brighter psychedelic and atmospheric stuff as well as the darker ambient. the earlier sound of my ’mildreda’ project was incorporating quite a lot of those bombastic elements, back then heavily influenced by ’in slaughter natives’ or ’raison d’être’. but as ’mildreda’ was moving more towards a pure electro sound, i still felt the need to make some of that dark and evil sounding music. that’s why i started ’mildred in oblivion’, as a dark little sister of my other projects, wherein i could celebrate my love for obscure atmospheric ambient.“ this first creation is a 10-track album offering not only a musical but also a mental journey through different stages and impressions. ’sisyphus’ journey’, as the album is called, is a concept album in which the buddhist idea of the ’bardo’ is linked with camus’ philosophy. jan dewulf already visited the concept of the ’bardo’ with his gothic rock project your life on hold, in which it was torn free from any religious connotation, and thus becoming a symbol for the in-between world, that no-man’s-land between different stages in your life, between relationships, between darker days and better days. linked with camus’ idea of the absurdity and meaninglessness of life, the journey of sisyphus becomes a journey through the ’bardo’ credits releases November 22, 2021 includes digital booklet with lyrics and photographs by zsolt t. szajbely music written and produced by jan dewulf. mastered at the cyberflesh loft by jan dewulf. photographs by zsolt t. szajbely. layout by stefan alt. this is ant-zen dig074
