Сердитый синеязыкий сцинк (Tiliqua scincoides)

All the blueys I’ve previously met have been quite placid, but this one was inexplicably agitated and aggressive. A large skink up to 60 centimetres long and weighing up to 1kg, the blue tongue lizard has strong jaws and can deliver a damaging bite. They are adaptable reptiles, often finding homes in urban and suburban areas, where they are valued by gardeners due to their appetite for garden pests such as slugs and snails.
