Koharu Fukuura (Tao Tsuchiya) lives an ordinary life working at city hall. Seemingly overnight her life is turned upside down after her grandfather collapses, her father is arrested for drunk driving, her house burns down, and she witnesses her boyfriend cheating with her colleague. Koharu falls into despair after losing everything. She then meets the Doctor Daigo (Kei Tanaka), who is a single father to his 8-year-old daughter Hikari. He proposes to Koharu. She accepts his proposal and they live happily, until one day she suddenly commits a vicious crime.
