In 2003, one million people marched on the streets of London in opposition to the Iraq War. Despite a public outcry, British troops took part in a coalition invasion of Iraq. In 2008, British-Iraqi writer Yaz Jamaludeen’s family bore the consequences of that war when her uncle, Jafar - her mother’s twin brother - was shot and killed. Twenty years later, hundreds of thousands of protesters marched once again on the streets of London, this time calling for a ceasefire in Gaza where over 11,000 people have been killed by Israeli bombs. Follow Yaz as she travels down to London on a coach full of demonstrators all the way from Leeds, to join one of the U.K.’s largest mass protests in history.
