When you least expect it you find yourself in these beautiful soft lush landings… I fell in love with this sumptuous song by @Erich Wolfgang Korngold from his Drei Gesänge - 1 called “In meine innige Nacht“. Some of you may know Korngold from his great Hollywood action soundtracks from the 1930’s and 40’s. This piece, composed in 1924, reminds me a little of Messiaen... pre-Messiaen… In concert from Kalamazoo, MI on May 14th, 2022. I recorded the piano track which is trickier than it sounds!
