Leander Bushcraft How to make a Bullroarer I started with a piece of Sweet Chestnut and split it using a Hultafors Forest Axe. I split it into a plank and shaved off the sides in to an oval shape. I drilled a hole in one end. I tied a piece of twine through the hole. Swing the bullroarer around to make a roaring sound. Just don’t smack yourself in the head like I did.
