Seeing Machines Think — Martin Wattenberg and Fernanda Viégas

Viégas holds a Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab; Wattenberg has a Ph.D. in mathematics from U.C. Berkeley lead Google’s data visualization research group. Before joining Google, the two led IBM’s Visual Communication Lab, which created the ground-breaking public visualization platform Many Eyes. Viégas has been named by multiple publications as one of the most influential women in technology. Wattenberg, as a director of R&D at Dow Jones.
