Quantum-limited heat conduction over macroscopic distances - Aalto University
At ultimately thin heat conduction channels, the power flowing between
two bodies is fundamentally limited. This power is given by the
quantum of thermal conductance. Now this kind of quantum-limited heat
conduction has been experimentally demonstrated in Quantum Computing
and Devices Laboratories (QCD Labs) headed by Prof. Mikko Möttönen.
Their work published in Nature Physics, the team extends the range of
quantum-limited heat conduction by a factor of 10,000 using microwave
photons in the framework of ci
