Hunting Orion, With Nikon Z5 & Z50

I do one of the worst walks I do to get a photograph, I walk along the shoreline from Eastbourne to Beachy Head Lighthouse, it’s not really a walk, it’s more like rock climbing. Along the way I shoot some b roll with my Nikon Z5. When I get to the light house I take a while to set my Nikon Z50 up to do a 4K Astro Timelapse hopefully to catch Orion above the lighthouse providing I have correctly guessed it’s track across the night sky. While I wait for the Timelapse and for Orion to move into the position I really want, I amuse myself taking some photographs. There is high cloud rolling in. I am partly excited and disappointed moving clouds always enhance a Timelapse but equally I don’t want so much that it blocks out the stars. The cloud turns out to be the perfect amount. I walk back after an epic evening with some fantastic photographs and one of the best Timelapse videos I have ever captured. Here is the kit I used on this shoot. Photographs, Nikon Z5 Nikon 20mm f1
