Nuclear Dumping

Available to buy at: or buy or rent and watch now on: Problems of dumping nuclear waste in the sea. Many people are worried about the dumping of nuclear waste in the sea, where it might contaminate marine life including our own food. This film shows the courageous action of the Greenpeace protesters, who chained themselves to the platforms of the ship to try to stop the barrels being put overboard. They claim that there should be a moratorium on dumping, but the authorities are devising new ways of getting the barrels into the sea, and the protesters are faced with heavy fines. Made in 1985 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and state of science of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. Distributed by Concord Media Website: Twitter: Facebook: Vimeo:
