Karim Elmahmoudi - Ancient Dreams

- Music composed by Karim El Mahmoudi Ancient Dreams It was commissioned by the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ivan Shulman and premiered on November 12, 2010. The piece is based on an ancient Egyptian papyrus called “The Dream Book“. This papyrus dated from the 13th Dynasty (1279-1213 BC) and attempted to suggest interpretations of dreams from those ancient times. Long ago, dreams were considered to be divine predictions - messages from the gods that could foretell of good fortunes or impending disasters. Karim Elmahmoudi is an award winning composer of music for the concert hall, film scores and video games. His works have been performed worldwide in Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Bulgaria, Ireland, Bratislava, Prague, Australia, and at such iconic venues as London’s Abbey Road, New York’s Carnegie Hall and Los Angeles’s Walt Disney Concert Hall.
