Beyond Fortune-Telling: What Kabbalah Says About Humanity’s Future

What is spiritual development? What is the goal of spiritual development? What is the final correction in spiritual development? What stage of spiritual development is humanity in? What determines the pace of spiritual development? Can we predict the date of the final correction? Do Kabbalists engage in prophecizing about certain events? What do Kabbalists give us to help our spiritual development? What changes is humanity going through in our generation? What changed in the 21st century? What is the difference between general vs. private Providence? If we are interested in spiritual development, the state we are talking about is the correction of the collective soul - the correction of the shattering - leads to the end of correction, which is a state of total connection of the single soul with the force, the Light that created that collective soul. Achieving a complete connection with the original soul and, through it, achieving total adhesion with the creating force that initially created the single soul and then broke it is what we are aimed at. This is what we are aiming at in our spiritual development. When this happens in the context of all of humanity, it depends on how quickly all of us, as a society, begin to change our aim. We have to go through a complete transformation in relation to human society. We are moving towards it, but we are not quite there yet. This will require a lot of changes in human society. So, from the perspective of the whole of humanity, there is no set time or date for it since there is also an element of free choice in the development of mankind. Thus, Kabbalah does not have a fortune-telling kind of prediction that can tell you what will happen on certain dates, like some popular prophecies that are circulated in the world. There is no such prophecizing in Kabbalah, as Kabbalists do not engage in fortune-telling. Kabbalists give us the basic laws of nature and the fundamental laws that govern human development. From that perspective, they can give rough estimates about generally where we are going, and how each period in humanity is supposed to develop in us. From this perspective, we have already entered this stage where the great transition, the great transformation of humanity, is beginning to unfold. We are already moving there, and there is no other way to go. If you want to be the most specific you can be from a Kabbalistic perspective, then you can say that the world, as we have known it, has changed since 1995. As we entered the 21st century, we entered such a time where we are all moving towards the final correction. However, when it will happen depends on humanity’s free choice. On the other hand, you, as an individual who has already awakened toward spirituality, can move faster. You can actualize your free choice and realize your spiritual progress. If you do everything that is in your power to do, then you will be able to go above that collective time. Then, you will have your own pace and progress of spiritual development.
