Israel’s Deepest Strike Inside Lebanon, “Gaza’s Al-Shifa Besieged, White Phosphorus Bombing Nearby“

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says operations have been suspended at the Al-Shifa hospital complex in Gaza. A spokesperson for the Hamas-run health ministry told Reuters that Al-Shifa - the largest medical facility in Gaza - ran out of fuel. “As a result, one newborn baby died inside the incubator, where there are 45 babies,“ says Ashraf Al-Qidra. Israeli forces have surrounded Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital and there’s great concern for staff and patients who remain there. “ We are besieged inside al-Shifa Medical Complex,” hospital spokesperson al-Qudra said. The Israeli military ratcheted up its airstrikes inside Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah weapons depots and intelligence infrastructure. The IDF said that they were retaliating to a series of drone and missile attacks by the powerful Lebanese militant group.
