Wigan Athletic were 4-0 to the good inside half an hour at the Withdean Stadium thanks to goals from Jimmy Bullard, Lee McCulloch, Gary Teale and Jason Roberts. However they took their foot off the gas and ended up on the end of a Paul Jewell tongue-lashing after Brighton fought back with two goals.
