Markus Stitz - Around the world on a singlespeed bike

From 3 September 2015 - 27 August 2016 Edinburgh-based Markus Stitz cycled 34,097 km on a singlespeed Surly Ogre through 26 countries. Facing temperatures from minus 15 to 42 degrees, climbing the equivalent of more than 38 times Mt Everest, Markus completed the journey on the same gear in less than one year.
