Alexei Sultanov at TCU Van Cliburn institute 1995

I taped this masterclass in Fort Worth Texas in the summer of 1995. It was a 2 week masterclass series at the van Cliburn Institute of the Texas Christian University. Among others teaching on that occasion were Jerome Lewenthal, Lazar Berman, John Browning, Jose Feghali, John Owings, Tamas Ungar, Jeoffrey Simon and others. Van Cliburn himself appeared at the reception. I had met him accidentally at the airport. He was standing next to me waiting for his luggage to appear on the conveyor belt. I said, “I know you, you are Van Cliburn“. Felt he was most gracious and shook hands with me.
