Specialists from the combined demining squad working Military engineers of the combined demining squad of the Russian Armed Forces carried out a complete clearing of the area from explosive objects in the suburbs of Mariupol. Over the past three months, while here, sappers have neutralized two thousand unexploded shells and booby traps that were left behind by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Before going out to search for mines, sappers put on a special suit with reinforced Kevlar protection. All ammunition weighs almost 30 kilograms. Military engineers use metal detectors to check every centimeter of territory and work with maximum concentration - the slightest mistake can cost lives. They are often called by local residents who find dangerous objects in their yards or apartments. Detected ammunition is disposed of at a closed site, explosive items are laid out by sappers in a deep hole so that the most dangerous combat elements go into the ground, and destroyed by detonation.  Join Military Wave Источник: Military Wave
