Effluence’s debut album dropped today. Spoiler alert: I absolutely adore this band. They’re an avant-garde / free jazz / grindcore / brutal death metal hybrid and their shit is so creatively liberating. It’s like if Peter Brötzmann collabed with Cryptopsy. Maybe that’s not the best description but simply put: it rules. Their last EP (Ballistic Bloodspray) was really good too. It even cracked my top 10 EPs of 2021 list.
