Automatically collapsible helmet prototype. Daft Punk stylized.

So i decided that i need more experience in collapsible mechanics before diving into more complicated designs. I showed a 3d model of this prototype to a friend of mine who said that it looks like a Daft Punk helmet. So i painted it gold and black to match the style. And i could not resist being a character. Once again, i’m after mechanics, not aesthetics. And i’m mostly satisfied. It uses two motors and a fishing line to both open and close the helmet. I’ll call it a seashell design.
