During world war 2 the metro became a housing for citizens that was used as a bomb shelter, concert hall, library, school, communist party meeting point and even a maternity hospital - yes, more than 200 kids were born here. There are lots of secret gateways and tunnels and there is a rumor that that there’s a hidden tunnel system named ‘metro 2’ - which was built on the orders of Stalin, it goes from the Kremlin to the airport and there’s a nuclear button there.
