Quebec wildfires: Over 13,000 people still not able to return home
While Quebec’s wildfire situation has stabilized, more than 13,000 people are still not able to stay in their homes, as firefighters from outside Canada arrive to help extinguish the flames.
More than 130 wildfires are still burning in the province, and the number of hectares burned in Quebec in 2023 is roughly 500 times its 10-year average.
Mike Armstrong reports on the communities under threat, what’s in the weather forecast, and the earliest some evacuees may be able to return home.
