Elvis Presley - Who Needs Money - High Definition Movie Version - Re-edited with Stereo audio

The first song heard within the body of Elvis’ 1967 movie “Clambake” was “Who Needs Money?” and in many ways set the tone for what was to come musically in much of the film. The song featured Elvis and co-star Will Hutchins in a travelling duet but Hutchins merely lip synced to vocals by Ray Walker of The Jordanaires. The song was used to introduce the central plot of the movie featuring a variation of the familiar rich man, poor man identity swap storyline. The backing track was recorded first, on 21 February 1967 at RCA Studio B in Nashville but this was rejected and re-recorded the following day. On 23 February, in the same studio, Ray Walker first recorded his vocal part before Elvis added his part. This completed master was used for insertion into the movie but both Elvis and Walker recorded an additional 21 second insert for the record version.
