Al Hirt plays ’Night And Day’ on ’The Ed Sullivan Show’, February 18, 1962. ’Night and Day’ was written in 1932 by the American composer, arranger and songwriter Cole Porter (1891-1964). Al Hirt (1922-1999) was an American trumpeter, composer, arranger, bandleader, singer, actor and impresario. He is considered one of the greatest trumpet players of all time.
