International Day of Peace 2019

Each year on 21 September, the International Day of Peace is observed across the world. Since 1988, Bangladesh Armed Forces and Bangladesh Police have been actively involved in a number of United Nations Peace Support Operations (UNPSO). In 2017, Bangladesh provided the 3rd largest number of troops in UN peacekeeping missions Currently, the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air force and police are deployed in 10 countries. A total of 6,582 UN peacekeepers, including 214 females are participating in these missions.
