Angola Grants Visa Free Access To 98 Countries

In a historic move, Angola has thrown open its doors to the world by introducing a groundbreaking visa-free entry policy, offering a warm embrace to nationals from over 90 countries. President Joao Lourenco signed the revolutionary resolution into law, titled Presidential Decree Number 189/23, on September 29, 2023, heralding a new era of tourism for the southern African nation. Under this progressive policy, travelers from more than 90 countries will enjoy visa-free access for up to 90 days, exclusively for tourism purposes. Additionally, since December 2017, South Africans have enjoyed visa-free travel to Angola, further strengthening regional ties. This bold move places Angola in the elite club of only five African countries, including Seychelles, Mozambique, Rwanda, Comoros, and Madagascar, offering visa-free access or visas on arrival to citizens of all African nations. Furthermore, European and Asian travelers will also benefit from this progressive policy, with 35 European countries and 11 Asian nations enjoying 90-day visa-free stays.
